CaseMix Online is designed specifically to provide initial and preparatory knowledge for development and implementation the Casemix system or DRGs. This Online course is an effort by International Centre for Casemix and Clinical Coding of National University of Malaysia to support the use of Casemix system as a tool to improve efficiency and quality of care. The online component of this training programme will give trainees and participants background information on the Casemix system in order to prepare them for more advance Casemix training. However, it is designed to provide solid exposure on the Casemix system for trainees with health and non-healthcare backgrounds.

  • About International Centre for Casemix and Clinical Coding (ITCC)

    The International Centre for Casemix and Clinical Coding (ITCC) is a centre of excellence in the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia)that focus on training, research and development of the casemix system globally. The Centre has also developed strategic relationship with a number of local and international organisations to support developing nations in the development and implementation of casemix system/DRGs. The Centre accepts postgraduates candidates (Masters, PhD and Postdoctoral) level to conduct their research and studies in areas related to casemix system, health economics and health financing as well health system management.


    The Centre also serves as 'casemix data bank' for UKM Medical Centre (UKMMC) for the academic staff and researchers to access clinical data for research and development. The Centre applies innovative approach in development of health related software and health information management system including costing software, disease & procedure classifications system, hospital information system, expert system for health data analysis.
